Day 1 — Beginning of Season 2
Well, I haven’t drawn in forever, so instead of continuing the last year, I’ll simply start a new one, back at day 1! So, welcome to season 2. I hope I’ll keep drawing, and see as much improvement this year as I did last year. I’m rusty right now, and I know I can much better, but here’s a comparison with Day 1 of last year.
DAY 163
The gangster lives in colour. All the colouring and shading was done in Inkscape. Digging the flip flops?
DAY 162
Technically, this is still yesterday, but I wanted to post it now: here’s an .svg of my next two-day project. Just a little cartoon character I drew. Call me inefficient, but it took me 3 hours to vectorize this with small intermissions to check a friend’s english essay for her. Here is where I started from:

DAY 141-162
This, this I’ve been working on for about 3 weeks. I know it doesn’t seem like it’s that time consuming, but I’ve really painted this over many many times, and I had to spend time vectorizing it, and a lot of time shading. The PSD was 128MB, though I did work in AutoCAD’s Sketchbook Pro.
This all started as a pencil drawing my girlfriend made me, about a month ago. I’ll have more layer-by-layer progress up in the next few days.
DAY 140
Didn’t really work out. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, I tried.
DAY 139
Still drawing. I want to try my hand at more cartoony stuff, inspired by Juice Foozle and the Omnitarian. Today I sketched it, in about 10 minutes, and then spent nearly an hour vectorizing it (in Inkscape no less). I will apply copics and shading later today or tomorrow. Close ups of the sketch and vector follow.

DAY 138
Hey guys, I actually HAVE been drawing every single day, just on my computer, and working on one huge project (a present for my girlfriend’s birthday, I’ll post it after I get it professionally printed (on canvas no less!) and give it to her). For now, just deal with my random noodles in AutoCAD’s Sketchbook Pro. Just playing around, I use an (old?) Intuos3. Don’t worry, I haven’t given up drawing. I’ve just gotten way worse :)
DAY 135
I often ask people what I should draw on a certain day, well today my girlfriend suggest drawing a hot-air ballon flying over a field with heart-flowers. Now, not only is that far too corny for me, but I also don’t feel like putting in that much effort into a drawing. Her second suggestion was a melted ice cream cone. Since I like to get creative, here it is.
DAY 134
French class was predictably boring, so I started just making random dots with a sharpie. I quickly realized that I could make this into one of my daily drawings, pointillism style, so here we are. I know the writing at the bottom is in english, but that’s because the homework was translating from english into french. Enjoy! This took about 30 minutes to finish.
