DAY 141-162 This, this I’ve been working on for about 3 weeks. I know it doesn’t seem like it’s that time consuming, but I’ve really painted this over many many times, and I had to spend time vectorizing it, and a lot of time shading. The PSD was 128MB, though I did work in AutoCAD’s Sketchbook Pro.  This all started as a pencil drawing my girlfriend made me, about a month ago. I’ll have more layer-by-layer progress up in the next few days.

DAY 139 Still drawing. I want to try my hand at more cartoony stuff, inspired by Juice Foozle and the Omnitarian. Today I sketched it, in about 10 minutes, and then spent nearly an hour vectorizing it (in Inkscape no less). I will apply copics and shading later today or tomorrow. Close ups of the sketch and vector follow.

DAY 133 A friend asked me to draw her a snake, and I always like to think of some way of making a drawing creative, or giving it an interesting spin, often coming up with an idea half-way through the process of putting ideas to paper, so it never comes out quite good. With this drawing, however, I thought the whole scene up in my head first. Unfortunately, limited by my drawing ability, especially in the realm of cartoons, I was not able to fulfill the awesome image I had in mind. But this is pretty close to what I had envisioned.
